 Llyn-y-Gadair
Llyn-y-Gadair

These two oligotrophic lakes lie aside the Foxes' Path up the northern side of Cadair Idris. Llyn Gafr is known locally as the Lake of the Goats, and is the lower of the two at a height of about 410 metres. Llyn y Gadair is at a height of about 560 metres. Both have a small beach area, and needless to say, both can be very cold.
