Despite its name, the shore at Severn Beach is not what many would regard as a beach. Lying just west of the Severn Bridge, it's mostly sandstone and mudstone shingle, backed by rocks, a sea wall and promenade. Lower down are extensive seaweed covered rocks and mud, with the Severn's main channel being some distance out. Access is down a steep slipway and toilets are available. Parking can easily be found locally, and Severn Beach railway station is about 200 yards away.
