Exmouth's main beach lies south of the town, and is mostly sandy with some rock outcrops and groynes, and backed by a promenade and cycle path. P&D parking is available in bays along the promenade, also in a large car park behind the beach and along local roads. Lifeguards patrol from mid July until early September. There are plenty of facilities nearby, including cafes and toilets. Exmouth railway station is just over a mile away.
