These are towards the western end of Poole Bay, and consist of fine sand backed by a promenade and plenty of beach huts. Toilets, drinking water provision, ice cream kiosks, cycle parking and showers are available at regular intervals along the promenade. Dogs are not allowed on these beaches. Lifeguards patrol at Shore Road from mid-July until early September.
Flaghead Chine can be reached along the promenade, or by a public footpath down the chine from Haven Road. Cycling is not allowed on the promenade during July and August (10 am - 6 pm). At Shore Road beach (Grid Ref : SZ050883) the promenade ends, and access is from Shore Road. Limited parking is available nearby. Also here is a cafe and beach shop.
