Landshipping is a quiet hamlet at the end of a no-through road, near the upper reaches of the eastern Cleddau. It was the scene of Pembrokeshire's worst ever mining disaster in 1844 when the rising tide broke through the roof of the Garden Pits mine. A memorial to this is situated near to the car parking space, overlooking the quay.
There is a slipway here and it is possible to walk along the shore to the south. Other public footpaths lead inland from here.
